I absolutely love this family. They are so beautiful inside and out. When I worked as the director of the children’s ministry at my church, the first day they came, I told my husband, “I want to be friends with them.” They just radiate coolness AND humility. Then, we got to know their kids pretty well, and I thought, “When we start having kids, we need to seriously be friends with them.” Adah and Jonah are the sweetest, most fun, well-behaved children. I pray for Kylin to be the same way. Margo and Hays have raised their kids in such a way that makes them so respectful and fun. Such a great combination. I love hanging out with them. I feel so blessed to have become so close to this family. And we get to meet Joshua (in Margo’s belly) in just a few short weeks!
Margo had this vision of what she wanted for this shoot in her head for a long time. The antique couch, the antique rug, in a field. The whole thing. Hays’ family owns property out in Quincy, so we ventured out their (where his sister and her husband and sons live). I tell you what. It’s a beautiful property. And the corn field was the perfect spot. The sun was behind the barn, which was the perfect backdrop. I was in awe. Thank you, God, for the perfect setup. And thank you for Hays’ family, who helped move furniture, provide the props, make a path in the corn field, hold my daughter, etc.!
