I love, love, loved this wedding! I think Mark was getting sick of listening to all my oohing and aahing last night while I was working on this blog post. It was so hard to narrow these down. I just loved them all! I will always remember this wedding because something “clicked” at this one. If you’re a wedding photographer, or really any kind of artist, I think we all have those moments where everything “clicks”, and we suddenly love what we do 100 times more than we already did. I’ve known for a long time that I mainly want to be a wedding photographer, but I have always gone into wedding days feeling at least a little bit of nervousness. I wasn’t very confident that I would get the lighting right or know my equipment inside and out. But at this wedding, it all just “clicked”, and I am SO excited and confident about my future weddings! And I’m excited for more “clicks” in the years to come because I know I will never stop learning in this field. Gosh, I love my job.
On to Katie and Diego. They are so in love and adorable. Diego is a military man, and Katie followed him to Washington state where he’s stationed, and where they are always traveling and going on adventures in the lovely mountains. Diego is actually a talented photographer, and I have so enjoyed looking at their photos from their travels. They have quite the life! I knew Katie in college, and I was so happy when she called me to ask me to photograph their wedding. I knew how in love she was with this man, and I was so honored to witness their big day up close and personal. I’m so glad you guys loved your photos. Enjoy the post!
Her something-borrowed was her mom’s garter. I love the difference in color between the two garters. Her and her dad melted my heart that day. Wait til you see the shots at the ceremony. This black and white series of Katie is to die for. I can’t get over how beautiful she is and how yummy the light was in that room. Ladies, when you’re getting ready, WINDOWS WINDOWS WINDOWS!Favorite groom shots.I’m so glad these photos turned out clear because my view was blurry from the tears. Nothing gets me like a father giving his daughter away.

Priceless.I love catching the post-ceremony smooch!FAVORITEThey did a beautiful Salsa routine for their first dance. I actually found out later that it wasn’t choreographed. So impressive.
